3/01/09 - Well last week I was thumbing a Rolling Stone ( 2008 year end ) and saw that Richard Wright, Co-founder and keyboardist from Pink Floyd, died last September... I was stunned and saddened. I don't really follow the news unless it's weather or it pops up on my browser so I never knew. Well Floyd is right there at the top of my list for music and such an amazing ( and so underated ) talent is forever loss. Well I told Logan about it and asked if I could pick his theme this week and do something Pink Floyd releated, he said "Sure Papa !". He loves Floyd so at first I was going to do something Wall related but I think "Wish You Were Here" says more... Thanks for letting me have my moment Logan :)

3/09/09 - Logan spoils me to much... he wouldn't give a topic and wanted me to just surprise him. I am very grateful he did as during this I was able to reminisce about how we used to watch the Iron Giant.. I love this cartoon and Logan and I ( Cam was still real little ) would watch it all the time when he was small... he would eat his lunch and then I would put the dvd in, he would get on the couch with me and lie on my chest and fall asleep before the giant got "angry" so he never would see the end. It's amazing that he was once so small and now is 13.... it's not fair how fast my babes are growing :(

3/15/09 - Friday I came home from school and Logan was on the couch. I said hi and he kinda mumbled it back so I asked him what was wrong... and he burst into tears ! Apparently someone decided to take his bags ( Iron Giant ) last week and he was so mad AT HIMSELF !! Not the person who took it, but himself, because he lost them, he felt like he let me down... I was so touched and sat beside him and told him that when I make these they are "disposable", I never expected to see them again. I said he was being way to hard on himself and lets be flattered that somebody actually stole our art...we hit the big time !! He smiled and I just said I will gladly draw that one again for him so he will have it back... he said thanks and I love you ..... Enjoy this guy from a series Logan likes called "Death Note".

3/23/09 - Last weeks "L" ( for Lawliet ) was a huge success from what I was told...seems it is popular with many of the kids and Logan liked that...very much :) I am sworn to secrecy so lets just say that Papa had no choice but to make "L" again...and happily so! This time in his patented "crouching" position...don't ask me ! There was also some good news this week... A kid from Logan's school came up to him and said "I found these in my locker"... it was the Iron Giant bags that were taken from Logan's locker a couple weeks ago, that was pretty cool and I know Logan was very happy to get them back. I guess the would be pilferer panicked at how he was going to smuggle these pricelss pieces of art out of the country without being caught :) Was a nice gesture though to return them...thanks !

3/30/09 - So Uncle Kevin was home from Japan and with that the boys were able to hang out with him and the family this Sunday. Kevin has so much knowledge when it comes to Anime and the boys just eat it all up. Logan was so psyched to talk with Uncle Kevin about Anime... just seeing the boys, so attentive, with one of my best friends is something I will always cherish. Logan got another Death Note book, so I asked Logan how his book was and he said "ok", I said "just ok" and he said " Papa, the guy I really like, L, died...it stinks. I actually feel sad".... I said " Bub, are you sure he is REALLY dead ( he showed me the pics ), and even if he is I understand and it's ok to be sad...you have been reading this story for months and now the main guy dies."... then I said " It's no different from and romance novel, fiction works, or non-fiction... you become attached and if something happens you have a natural response...even if it is not real". He seemed happy with it and asked if I could draw the new "main" character named "Near".
