5/04/09 - We went to the Vineyard this Sunday for Logan's LAX game. Morgan so badly wanted to go as she had never been on a boat and wanted to ride over on it. We all headed to Woods Hole and she was all set... she did get nervous that she could fall off ( Um, thanks Logan ! ) but when she got uptop she saw she couldn't. She just loved being out on deck and seeing everything...asking me all sorts of questions, from where the island was to what is that ( marker bouys). We all went to Sharky's for lunch and she just had a ball, the food came with a toy shark and she had me write the date on it for her memory box. She really enjoyed herself and I think maybe just she and I will make a return trip in the summer just to have a "date". Morgan is sooo on a Digimon kick...get used to them :)

5/11/09 - Morgan is suddenly the biggest Digimon fan ! I do like the show I must admit, probably because I enjoyed it with Cam & Logan too when they were little. We would get out drinks, a snack, and curl up in a blanket and watch it in the afternoon when it came on... now maybe I don't get to "enjoy" it the same with Morgan but we will have some times to cuddle and just watch as I own them on DVD! Sadly, before she started to enjoy the show I brought in most, if not all, of the boys Digimon figures to school for my students "prize bin" ( if the kids work hard/behave they earn $ to buy things ). well now that Morgan likes digimon I asked if she wanted me to bring them back and she asked " do they like Digimon?"...and I said "very much". Morgan says " Then they can stay as they make them happy."... my word she can be so amazing for such a young soul. She also wanted to play baseball with me this weekend when we were down the Cape for Lacrosse... she was "pitching" to me... she is very good and wicked competitive!!!!

5/17/09 - Morgan came into the house today and was upset...the Robin's nest out in our tree was tilted and all the eggs fell out...only one was not broken. Unfortunately the tree is low and nests tend to not do well from year to year. Morgan brought me the surviving egg and asked if I could fix the nest... I attached it with some wire and placed the egg into it. I did explain to her that it might not help and she was saddened. Then she picked some of the flowers off our Azalea's and she asked if I could hold her up to the nest. She threw the petals over the egg and said maybe that would make the mother come back and want to lay more eggs if it was "pretty" again. Morgan then sat on the steps and waited.... while sitting there she was talking to our dog Brego, then to a Bee, then she talked to a bird that landed nearby. She told me she was telling them all about what happened to the nest and the eggs and how sad it was and how sad she was about it.... Ugh, it's bringing tears to my eyes right now.....
